Course Prerequisites: No assumed knowledge
Minimum Age: No minimum but Under 16’s must be accompanied by adult. Persons aged 16+ can be unaccompanied subject to other pre-requisites having been met
Holiday Insurance: We would advise ALL our customers to ensure they have suitable holiday insurance in-place. Yachtsman’s insurance is available from a variety of souces like Topsail Insurance and can cover things like cancellations and personal effects cover.
The Ladies Sailing Weekend is the perfect weekend away for any ladies who want to build some confidence away from the usual male macho crew members, or just have a great girls weekend away
Running over two days the Ladies Sailing Weekend is a very flexible sailing weekend where the programme can be adjusted to suit individual sailing needs, or just get out there for a cracking weekend on the Solent!
You’ll get to visit marinas and ports in and around the Solent. It’s a weekend of pure sailing, good food, good company and fun.
We keep this weekend very flexible and tailor it towards our customers, some may want to gain some helm experience without the pressure, or maybe get some downwind experience, or sail trimming and tuning time. We keep it all flexible and ensure at the end of the first night there is a cracking night out at the end of it. You’ve deserved it!
Courses run in a choice of two formats:
Starts from our Gosport marina base and visits various ports and marinas further afield.
Ok ladies, this is just for you! Why not get away from the men and boys for a weekend and have a perfect weekend of champagne sailing with great company in the best sailing location in the UK!
We’ll make sure your weekend is one to remember, and we include a little welcome pack just for the ladies on this one!
It’s all about having fun, confidence building and enjoying yourself with no stress or men!
These weekends are really popular, and as you’d expect from us we have some great female instructors who will make your weekend an absolute blast.
With so many locations to chose from (weather dependant of course) you might go and see Portland or Weymouth, or how about metropolitan Brighton Marina for a great night out when you arrive?

Nick BI did a weeks coastal skipper course getting ready for my yacht master and I have to say it was one of the best training weeks I’ve had - our training instructor was superb, exactly the sort of person that you want. He could inspire, provide discipline and impart knowledge as well as let you learn through your own mistakes. Tom and Steph run an excellent operation there and I highly recommend it. They’re flexible and very helpful when it comes to your journey into being a qualified sailor.
