Follow the instructions on this page to help us return your forgotten items

Lost Property

Looking after your property

  • Make sure your property is easily identifiable
  • The IMEI or MEID number for your mobile phone acts as a unique identifier for that device – make sure you know and record this
  • Write your name on any books – it is likely that your crewmates will have identical copies
  • Insure valuable items against loss or damage
  • Take a careful last look around the boat, especially your cabin, before you leave

Getting your Lost Property Back

Whilst we will do our best to reunite you with your lost items we would appreciate a bit of help:

  • Write to us as soon as you suspect you have lost an item giving as much detail as possible about both your item and where we might locate it
  • If we find it we will ask you to follow our returns process
  • We will do our best to reunite you with your property but cannot be held responsible for and damage or losses
  • We appreciate how important it might be to receive your items but cannot be held responsible for the knock on effect of your item not arriving

Lost Property Returns

  • It helps us if you can send a postage paid jiffy bag, package or box in which to pack your property.
  • Please consider the size and weight of your items when calculating postage costs
  • If your item is valuable or you need it quickly, check that you have chosen the correct level of insurance and service
  • If you are instructing a courier, we will take your items to the Gosport Marina reception for collection on any weekday
  • If you wish us to post your item, we will calculate the cost of postage and packaging and send an invoice. Please bear in mind that we only visit the Post Office once or twice a week so please be patient.
