Tip of the Day – Day Skipper and Yachtmaster Theory
TIDE HEIGHTS AND TIMES
Today’s ‘Top Tip’ is all about preventing common mistakes when looking up tide times and heights in the almanac:
One of the common mistakes people make when looking up the time and height of high water is to look at the wrong date when they revisit this information. When looking this information in the almanac circle the correct date to ensure that you pick this date the next time you need to look at the page. The chances are that you will need to come back to this information several times!
Do let us have your questions about Day Skipper orYachtmaster theory or anything nautical. When we get enough we will devote a page to an ‘ask the expert’ session. We are also collecting a list of ‘Common ‘Mistakes’ to help you to avoid making them when working through your Day Skipper or Yachtmaster theory exercises or navigating on your boat.
