Yachtmaster student takes the plunge!
Ed tries out the swivels
Yachtmaster student Ed took the plunge yesterday in Brittany sea side town of Cameret and purchased swivels for his lure. The Emerald Star cook was once again poised with her frying pan in the galley whilst the hapless fisherman cast his line before entering the treacherous Chenal du Four on the voyage back to Guernsey. Although Commodore Yachting principle, Stuart Cooper suggested a Dummies Guide to Fishing might also be needed Ed was confident and moral was high amongst the crew.
On arrival in St Peter Port after 24 hours at sea the lure was duly inspected and the Competent Crew were informed of the dismal news that fish would yet again be off the menu. As always however, tomorrow is another day and with a cruise through the islands of Herm and Sark before arriving in Alderney there is still a weak glimmer of hope.

Hmph, I only said I’d come along if there was fresh fish… do I need to rethink this trip???
We have heard reports that Ed was spotted loitering around the fish counter in the Super U in Cameret…..
me thinks ED needs to receive fishing lessons from the masters Stuart/Ray
