The 43rd PSP Southampton Boat Show starts today and to get the show off to a roaring start we have some amazing offers on RYA sailing courses, yacht charter and flotilla holidays!

We are offering £50.00 off a Milebuilding Trip next weekend 24th – 25th September. Leaving on Friday evening there will be an overnight passage, perfect for anyone wanting to build up night hours. The plan is to sail to France but this will of course be weather permitting and if it is not possible to cross the channel the boat will sail along the south coast instead. The cost of this trip has been reduced from £235.00 to £185.00!

London Milebuilding Trip

We have a few spaces left on our Milebuilding Trip from Gosport to London leaving on January 2nd. This is a great opportunity to experience some offshore sailing as well as navigating up the River Thames. There will be an experienced RYA instructor on board to help you to learn new skills and gain experience in the many different situations that you will encounter along the way. The fee this five day trip is £375.00 fully inclusive and also includes free entrance to the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show.

Three Men in Another Boat

A milebuilding trip from London to Gosport has been planned for June after the success of a similar sailing trip which takes place each January when we take a one of our RYA sailing school yachts up to London for the London Boat Show. After a running a winter mile builder for the last 6 years we have decided to add a summer cruise to the Commodore Yachting programme to include two five day legs and a weekend Thames cruise. This cruise is sutable for anyone wishing to gain the RYA Competent Crew qualification or to build miles before taking the Yachtmaster Preparation course. The trip is emulated on television tonight with the second episode of Three Men in Another Boat on Dave at 8PM. The programme features Griff Rhyss Jones and his crew of Dara O’Briain and Rory McGrath as they undertake a sailing trip from Tower Bridge to Cowes on the Isle of Wight on his classic sailing yacht Undina.

Fastrack Yachtmaster searches for lepricauns

Large lepricaun far away!

Fastrack Yachtmasters, Ed and Henry have arrived in Ireland on their milebuilding trip. After securing Emerald Star to the pontoon in Cork the hapless pair as well as the rest of the Competent Crew set off to track down their first lepricaun. After searching high and low and downing a few guinesses in the process they discovered the elusive creature on the Commodore Yachting vessel. Measuring less than 18 inches tall (from a distance) they discovered that her name was Andrea and she had in fact been on the sailing trip since joining the boat in Weymouth on Saturday.
