Bareboat or Skippered

Charter one of our well equipped yachts and experience the freedom to enjoy the sheltered waters of the Solent or take a trip across the Channel to France and cruise the coast of Brittany.

All our yachts are coded in accordance with the MCA code of practice to operate within 60 miles of a safe haven.
You will need to have a minimum of a Day Skipper practical certificate or equivilent experience to take a yacht on a bareboat charter. If you are less experienced we can offer a skippered charter giving you the chance to improve your skills with an experienced skipper on board or just sit back and relax! Nearly all our skippers are also RYA instructors and so you will benefit from professional tuition during your charter. Another option is to combine your charter with gaining a RYA qualification with our Instructional Charters. If you want to charter one of our larger yachts or want to travel further afield you will need to have a Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster certificate of competence or relevent experience.

We operate all year round – all our yachts have Webasto heating!

We can offer one free secure parking space at Gosport Marina for the duration of your charter.

Insurance: We recommend that you take out insurance to cover you in the event of any accident or injury during your charter or in the event of you making a cancellation. If you do not have your own insurance cover Topsail Insurance may be able to help you with this.
