Yachtmaster Offshore Preparation (not a RYA course)

Course dates and fees 

Yachtmaster Offshore Preparation requires a student to have a minimum of 50 days sea time (5 days as skipper), 12 night hours and 2500 miles, 5 passages over 60M including 2 overnight and 2 as skipper. You should have Yachtmaster Theory or knowledge to that level and sailing skills to Yachtmaster Coastal standard, along with a First Aid certificate and VHF certificate 

During the Yachtmaster Offshore course you will be taught skippering techniques for coastal and off shore passages. After the course you should be able to skipper a yacht on coastal passages by day and night. 

Exam 8-12 hours per candidate (usually not more than 24 hours per exam) 

Cost £449-£549 + exam fee 

Duration 5 days + exam Maximum students : instructor 5:1
Location Solent Minimum age All ages although under 18.
What’s included Accommodation on board one of our Bavaria yachts Breakfast, lunch, evening meals  and drinks on board. Free hire of wet weather gear Extras Evening meal ashore on joining night if required. Berthing fees shared between crew Log books if required
When Friday evening 1900hrs to Wednesday afternoon 1600hrs, Sunday evening 1900hrs to Friday afternoon 1600hrs.  All year round Don’t forget Anything you cannot travel without as we cannot cater for everyone’s special favourites! First Aid certificate and GMDSS radio licence, passport sized photograph
