RYA Instructional Charter
Choose our RYA Instructional charter to take your RYA sailing course in the sheltered waters of the Solent on one of our yachts with just your family and friends on board. You can choose from one to one tuition to up to 5 students on board to take your Competent Crew, Day Skipper or Yachtmaster preparation course. Rather than fitting in with an ‘off the hook’ RYA sailing course you can plan your ‘bespoke’ training course with your skipper. Taking the weather, tides and capabilities of the crew you can choose where you sail and which harbours and marinas you want to visit. Our skippers are experienced RYA instructors and will advise you of the best options, make suggestions and keep you safe but you will be involved in the planning as much as possible. A RYA Instructional Charter is the perfect option for families with younger children who can be involved as much or as little as they wish. They can even work towards their own Competent Crew certificate.

- All our yachts are coded to MCA requirements and are fully equipped with all the necessary safety gear on board. We can offer the choice of a 4 cabin or 3 cabin yacht for your RYA Instructional Charter.
- Your instructor will have a wealth of experience of teaching all ages and abilities as well as endless patience and an excellent sense of humour. We select our instructors carefully so you can be sure that he or she will will make your course both informative and enjoyable as they pass on their passion for sailing.
- The price you pay is for a 5 day Monday to Friday course inclusive of VAT, instruction, free hire of wet weather gear and certification. Fees for a low season course can work out as low as £309.00 per person on a Monday to Friday course based on 5 people sharing. Please contact us for a price for RYA Instructional Charter courses that include a weekend.
- You will need to allow a cabin to accommodate your instructor so please consider this when choosing your boat. your instructor will expect you to provide him or her with meals on board and it is customary for them to be included when eating out.
