Professional Yachtmaster (Modular scheme)

The Modular Professional Yachtmaster is a flexible course designed and run by the Commodore Yachting Sailing School. Like the intensive Yachtmaster course it aims to prepare students for the MCA Yachtmaster exam but enables them to select individual courses and milebuilding trips to meet their needs. Based at Gosport Marina with easy access to The Solent, right in the heart UK’s most popular sailing waters. Commodore Yachting is one of Britain’s leading sail training establishments. With Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognition, it is run by one of the most experienced teams of instructors in the country.

Careers in the Marine Industry

The course is designed for people wishing to pursue a career in the marine industry. It is much more than a series of RYA courses. Combined with regular appraisals of your progress you will be able to put together a unique package designed specifically to make the most of your time with us.

In order to prepare for your Yactmaster Exam you will sail over 2500 NM at sea.  We can provide opportunities for you to achieve this level of experience and mileage on board various yachts learning practical seamanship, constantly improving personal technical expertise and above all learning vital skippering techniques.
