Where are we?

Our base at Gosport Marina right in Portsmouth Harbour is minutes away from the harbour entrance with access to The Solent, arguably one of the world’s finest sailing areas. Sheltered by the Isle of Wight the Solent provides an ideal location for complete novices as well as experienced sailors. The many different harbours and anchorages offer ideal training conditions with a typical 5 day RYA practical course itinerary covering over 100 nautical miles.

By Road

From junction 11 of the M27, follow the road to Fareham. At the first roundabout turn left into Gosport Road under the viaduct. Carry on over the next roundabout, then fork left signposted A32 to Gosport. Follow this road past Fort Brockhurst for a further 1.5 miles. The entrance to Gosport Marina is on the left hand side just before the Gosport Ferry.

By Rail

National rail services run to Portsmouth Harbour. From there a ferry service operates every 15 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour across the harbour to Gosport. The ferry fare is £2.90 return and the trip  takes 5 minutes. Ferries run every 7 minutes in peak period and every 15 minutes at other times. As you leave the ferry turn right and follow the Millennium Walk past the Castle Tavern, a 2 minute walk will bring you to the marina gates.

As you enter Gosport Marina you will see the Marina reception building in front of you. Commodore Yachting can be found on ‘C’ Dock just below the marina reception. If you are driving, enter the car park through the barrier and take a ticket.
