New Gosport ferry terminal arrives!

New Gosport Ferry terminal arrives in Portsmouth harbour.

Weather caused disruption to the arrival of Gosport Ferry’s new pontoon with it finally arriving in Portsmouth Harbour on   Wednesday morning. It was towed down to the Gosport ferry terminal at around 1800hrs on Friday evening.

Now, ‘subject to weather’ the work due to take place last weekend will take place over the weekend. The old pontoon will be closed and from 7pm travellers will use the temporary berthing facilities kindly made available by Endeavour Quay.

Students attending RYA sailing courses  at Commodore Yachting  and using the Gosport ferry will be directed by ferry staff to the temporary ferry pontoon, the entrance to which is located 50 metres from the terminal.
