Milebuilding offshore sailing trip to Channel Islands, France and Ireland
Preparations are under way for a month long mile building trip leaving Gosport on Saturday 25th April before a Cross Channel leg to Cherbourg and then on to the Channel Islands. Divided into week long passages the yacht will calling at St Peter Port, Alderney, St Helier and St Malo before sailing along the north Brittany coast to Brest. From Brest the yacht will be returning to the south coast for a crew change before proceding to Cork and then returning to Gosport via Abersoch in North Wales and the Isles of Scilly. Last minute crew spaces are still available for both the whole milebuilder and also individual legs and are an ideal oportunity to gain miles required for the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster exams and also a perfect chance for Competent Crew and Day Skipper students to gain offshore sailing experience.
