Lynx Effect destroyed by raging inferno

Commodore Yachting sailing yacht Canberra Star stood by the burning Motor cruiser after hearing the MayDay from Lynx Effect. The boat was completly destroyed by the fire on the boat and sank in Stokes Bay.

Lynx Effect was on a Day Skipper (power) course run by Commodore Yachting Ltd for Sailtime Ltd.  Lynx Effect is owned and operated by Sailtime Ltd.

The skipper is preparing a full report for the MAIB which will be published on this site.

RYA Principal of Commodore Yachting Stuart Cooper praised the skipper for the prompt action which resulted in the crew being evacuated form the blazing vessel with no injury to anyone.
