Fast Track Yachtmaster Offshore
The Fast Track Yachtmaster Offshore is the final module in the Fastrack Yachtmaster scheme.
At the end of of this final module you will be ready to take the MCA exam and become a professional Yachtmaster. With the Yachtmaster Offshore qualification you will be able to apply for a Commercial Endorsement and gain work in the yachting industry. You will need to tke the RYA Professional Practices and Responsibilities (PPR) course before you can begin to work as a commercial Yachtmaster.
During the Yachtmaster Offshore module you will cover the following:
* Refresher / Experience Sailing Week
* RYA Sea Survival Course
An essential qualification required when sailing further than 60 miles offshore. During this one day course you will learn personal survival techniques and the proper use of rescue equipment.
* RYA ISAF Course
This one day course teaches survival techniques and and how to cope with heavy weather sailing
* 3 week Milebuilding Trip
During this 3 week cruise you will experience offshore sailing during which you will maintain a watch keeping system and navigation into a range of ports and harbours. The trip will take you to the Channel Islands, Northern France and South Coast of England.
* Self Skippered Week
This is the chance to put all you have learned into practice as you take one of the yachts off sailing on bareboat charter.
* Yachtmaster Offshore Preparation Course and exam
At the end of this 5 day course you will take the 2 day Yachtmaster Offshore exam.
