Day Skipper still most popular RYA course

Day Skipper remains the most popular course generating the most enquiries at Commodore Yachting’s London Boat Show stand. The Day Skipper qualification enables the holder to charter a yacht and apply for an ICC, the International Certificate of Competence required in much of Europe for yacht charter. Enquiries for day skipper practical and day skipper theory courses have been up on last year despite the credit crunch with people looking forward to a full season of sailing both in the Solent and abroad.
