The Commodore Yachting crew celebrated their arrival in 231st place with a bottle of champagne

RYA Sailing School Commodore Yachting yacht Adelaide star rounded the Fastnet Rock at 0749hrs this morning

Adelaide Star took an inshore route around Shark Rock and managed to move up 3 places

The latest tracker report at 1700hrs saw the RYA Sailing School yacht 76th in IRC class 2

At anchor in 36 feet of water!
53rd in class 2

2045… All going well as we punch the tide towards the Bill, reaching with the spinnaker. No dramas on board so far however the crew were extremely concerned to find skipper Stu down below crying only 6 hours into the race, relief ensued when we found that we hadn’t yet driven him to despair (there’s plenty of time for that) and that it was due to the very strong onions he was chopping. His main concern now seems to surround the fact that I’ve discovered where his secret stash of chocolate raisins is!

As a RYA sailing school training is an important part of the campaign and the two training weekends are an excellent opportunity to meet the rest of the crew as well as learn some new sailing skills.
